Bad News:
Do this, Dont do that. else you die and goto hell.
This is, Karma(Work) based "religion".
No man could live according to God's standard, all sinned somewhere, sometime, and thus were condemned.
Good News:
God is compassionate.
God himself (Jesus) died for our sins, took all the brunt and condemnation of sins onto himself.
After cleansing all sins, He rose back from dead to live for evermore.
Now I need to just confess, repent(turn away), & BELIEVE in Him, that He died for my sins, and I am in accordance to God's standard.
This is, Faith based "Way".
John 3:16 -For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Says who? Who made the rules? A book written by human beings?

What about a child who dies just after birth? Pray how has he sinned - he never had the opportunity to do anything, let alone commit sin. So does a person commit sin just by being born?
God is compassionate
And He is omnipotent and omniscient. Don't you see a contradiction here? If all of these three are true, then we cannot have all the suffering and pain that we have in the world...

Why did God have to die? I mean why not just forgive us without dieing? I mean why go through the trouble?

Isn't that very egoistic of God... I don't care what you did as long as you believe in me. Why does God even care about what we mere mortals believe in...

I will try to answer them all..
And i know its not a devil speaking but a fellow human whose mind and heart is curious....

--Not "A book" but many books, many religions which are followed blindly all over the world. Many are claimed to be written by divine interventions. (some really are- i belive)
so "do this, dont do that" -- portray God's standard of living. A proof of that standard is in our conscience, everybody has it. And it has such rules embedded in it.
And you will agree that its hard to have a clear conscience all the days of your life. sometimes the guilt is soo much that it might kill somebody...thats no less than a hell.
So you cannot deny such rules exist simply by saying "says who" -- because its said by "you - your conscience" ..."and also many legalistic books & religions which are religioulsy followed." .
